NY POST ^ | 6/19/11 | ISABEL VINCENT and MELISSA KLEIN

Posted on 06/19/2011 3:54:56 AM PDT by Liz

......disgraced ex-Cong Weiner's 2010 tax return shows $40,521 in unspecified itemized deductions on income of $156,117. The deductions appeared to include more than the standard write-offs......his campaign finance reports list his Forest Hills home as his campaign committee address but rents office space in Manhattan.

TAXPAYERS FOOT THE BILLS FOR THE WORLD'S MISFITS, AS USUAL Weiner’s Congressional pension and benefits could top $1 million. Course, he's never held a real job. Weiner's been in Congress some 13 years (he's in his mid 40’s). His Congressional pension and savings plan could be worth $1.12-1.28 million. Some say he can't touch the retirement money until he's 55, or so. But I doubt whether the "crowned heads" in Congress have to live by the same rules the working class have to abide by.

Add to that figure Weiner's stints as (1) Schumer's Congressional aide, and, (2) the NY City Council. He could be cashing in from those positions, as well. Plus he's got $5 million in campaign money (for his thwarted Mayoral ambitions that he cannot convert for personal use).

I guess he'll contribute the $5mill to UNICEF to feed the hungry (/snix).

You have to wonder what the little jerk did to get all that campaign money. After all, he does represent Brooklyn--duh. Can you say kickbacks?

All of Weiner's budget items, earmarks, etc, should be scrutinized. Constituent groups that got federal money should have to prove where they spent it.

Is the NY Post already trying to get Weiner appointed to one of Zero’s empty administration positions? After all, the phrase “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying” is a Dim calling card.

Dim calling card: “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying”.....

Heh---good one.

I think Obama would have tapped Weiner (no, not THERE) for a top job if Weiner's stubborness had not prevailed----his refusal to leave messed up Obama's 2012 strategy.

They can’t throw him out of Congress for it. None of husseins pretty boys have gone to jail for being a tax cheat. So, I guess the only thing left for the weiner is to be made a czar of whatever.

Tax issues? Weiner should consult with Charlie Rangel, Charlie has experience in these matters.

You got that right——once elected, these “crowned heads” shrug off laws and rules, believing none of it applies to them. Shades of King George.

I don’t care that they don’t pay taxes. I care that they make me pay taxes.

This came in my e mail yesterday...... I’ll clutter up your thread.

“Rumor has it that Anthony Weiner is going to run for president.
He has chosen attorney general Eric Holder as his running mate.
Get your Weiner-Holder bumper stickers early, before they are all gone!”

40K deductions on a hundred and a half is not that big a deal. My return was similar.
