Supposedly the story first appeared in the "respected" Israeli news site Ynet. I have a suspicion that secular Leftist Israeli JINOs planted it to discredit the ultra-Orthodox,* but on the other hand people knowledgeable about Judaism have said it could be true.

*Think of all the stories in our MSM ridiculing Christians as backward, unscientific snake-handlers.
