The industry is self-regulating with regard to who should or should not be afforded the privileges of being a “news reporter” - a writer for Howard Stern does not pass the simplest of those tests... working for a bonafide news organization or program. Howard Stern is not a news program, nor is he a news anchor or reporter, so anyone representing Stern is not due the privileges afforded true working reporters.
There are laws against threatening violence against even non-journalist commoners who ask stupid questions.
Neither is Jon Stewart, but many people get their 'news' from him...............and the minions of the left still refer to FOX as Faux News.............I'll tolerate the antics of Sterns and Stewart because I don't want to go down that slippery slope of deciding 'who' is going to be given that 2nd amendment 'right' and who is not................
You seem to be acting like the liberal shills who call themselves “journalists” are legitimate truth-seekers and truth-tellers. If so, I have to ask, how do you come to that conclusion?
Don’t you believe in a free press?
There shouldn’t be a litmus test for being in the press.
A lot of independents, like Matt Drudge, wouldn't pass that test. The liberals would have loved to use your logic to silence him during the Lewinsky affair.
