I am slightly optimistic in that many I’ve talked to in CA are beyond fed up with the antics and shenanigans in Sacramento.
We’ll have to wait and see though. I believe the latest demographics show that CA has tipped into the “takers” favor, but the unions are in damage control mode right now which indicates that they have over played their hands. I’m not running into as many folks who believe the lies told by the unions.
Too many stories coming out with regards to waste, corruption, etc. Not many folks are real tolerant of that.
Meg ran a terrible campaign, started almost a year before the election with her ads. Saturated the market and essentially became white noise in the background. Flip flopped on numerous issues, painted as a failed business executive, etc. The illegal maid was the final nail in her election coffin.
Of course it didn’t help that a number of so-called Republicans were tarred that year as well. Arnie for one, another who was outed as a queer who had taken many anti-queer positions and sold his vote for the tax increases, and on, and on it went.
Republicans didn’t stand a chance with the CAGOP being the enemy within, the unions spending 10’s of millions of $$’s in conjuction with the Rats doing the same.
But the upside now is that the Rats own this mess (the one they created with the help of some RINO’s) since they claimed they could fix it. No Rep to be left standing holding the bag of stink.
Indies number about the same as Rats, Reps are a little lower. If the Indies can be turned to the right a bit, we stand a chance, but the CAGOP is self serving. They won’t stand for it and insist on exclusivity.
