I’ve found examples of these duplicate characters on many other PDF scans. It’s not a smoking gun.
If you have found profound duplicate pixel distortion like this on a non-photoshopped scan, please post it or post a link.
This is currently the strongest evidence of forgery in the BC, and we should debunk it if possible.
Is it your theory that a defect in the scanner can repeat a duplicate distortion pattern and that, by random chance, this distortion pattern will sometimes be distributed similarly over duplicate letters, resulting in duplicate letters having duplicate distortion? It seems extremely unlikely to me that this would happen with more than one distortion pattern on the same document.
