Canada has had these images on cigarette packs for years. As a former lifelong smoker, at the time I hated seeing them every time I bought a pack. In fact there was even a cottage industry in Canada selling cute little covers for the packs to block out the images.Years later, after a two year battle to free myself from nicotine, I realize that those black lung and rotten mouth images did play a small role in getting me to quit in that they gave me a visual reminder that I was essentially paying some corporation 9 dollars a day to send me down the road to COPD or cancer. Tobacco addiction is the most widespread, intense and pathetic addictions out there and you can’t just let the market rule and say it’s up to the individual. They, like all addicts, need the medical and scientific community, education, government and charities involved. Every little bit helps.

Can you rattle of a few more for me, like gun laws prevent gun crime, welfare payments create relief from poverty, higher taxes bring in more revenue to government, recycling paper results in more trees? Exactly. If It’s so horrible and kills everyone and those around them, just ban it.
The STATE should give up the billions in tax revenue and MSA payments.
Academic grant junkies and executives of anti smoking groups who make six figure salaries will have to find a different line of work. A real job like everyone else.

One of my cousins conceived all three of her sons during sex with a condom, and never succeeded at doing so without one.
Condoms do nothing but keep cucumbers from getting sunburn in sex ed class.

The main topic of the thread has you beat!
Pregnancy and STDs are more likely when frequent sex is engaged in due to a false sense of security when in fact condoms have a typical 10% failure rate. Along with those come more abortions, more emotional damage and significantly higher rates of breast cancer from those abortions. But you go ahead and cling to that security blanket the NEA, Planned Parenthood and the homo lobby gave you in middle school.
