O'donnell is 100% wrong to call Bachmann a socialist. He should have simply called her a hypocrite.
bachmann's full quote:
"Your efforts to stabilize prices through direct government purchasing of pork and dairy products are very much welcomed by the producers in Minnesota, and I would encourage you to take any additional steps necessary to prevent further deterioration of these critical industries, such as making additional commodity purchases and working to expand trade outlets for these and other agricultural goods,"
So to Bachmann it is wrong to bailout other people but if the spirits of the market impact her district then all steam ahead with the government bailout.
And btw I don't think I have ever seen newbusters twist like this to defend someone.

How often have we seen it? People who profess conservative principles but don't really want a smaller, less intrusive government. They just want a government that advocates on behalf of their specific agenda. The same can be said of some social conservatives as well.

I'm tired of it. If you read the article they act like falling prices are bad. here is a newsflash for some in the gop. Supply and demand means prices go down as well as up. If we had falling prices in say pork more people would buy pork some farmers would go out of business the supply would decrease the increasing demand from lower prices and smaller supply would cause the price to go up naturally and farmers would flock back into the field. and the market will decide on where the resources should go based on price and the law of supply and demand. what the government did is destory the market in pork placed many farmers on the government dole and caused an oversupply of pork to be continue to flood the market. It was wasted resources, wasted taxpayer money and wasted time. It is the same with the autobailout (which Ryan voted for) I hate hypocrites

Care to comment on the story itself? What is your opinion of Bachmann writing this?
She wrote, Your efforts to stabilize prices through direct government purchasing of pork and dairy products are very much welcomed.

he isn’t on the same page as me. I don’t think Bachmann is a socialist.
but I like how you defend government bailouts because Bachmann liked them.

not excusing bachmann, but this is what msnbc does, they find tiny little stupid points to say “gotcha” to republicans.
I watch msnbc sometimes, just for the laughs - usually the ‘news’ shows are unintentionally funny, but sometimes, I just groan and flip the channel.

Only problem is the accusations here are a total lies with no base in fact.
For example, Bachmann, whoes FATHER IN LAW owns a farm, has nothing to do with that farm. Bachmann has consistently voted against Farm Subsides while in Congress.
So rather then then calling he a hypocrite, the Junk Media should apologies for lying about her.
Better check your sources closer in the future, just because someone in the Leftist clown posse writes something, doesn't make it true

If this is a lie, a manufactured quote, then shame on Huff Post. If it is not, shame on Bachmann AFAIC.

Michele Bachmann, as has been pointed out in this space before, has a family farm that has received over a quarter of million dollars in direct cash from the federal government Total lie, no base at all in fact. Her family has no farm. It just another leftist lie by the Left wing clown posse at Huffington Post. Clowns are wonderfully careless with there "Facts"

>>> Lawrence O’Donnell Accuses Michele Bachmann of Being a Socialist
Wrong!
This just shows Michele Bachmann a ‘typical politician’, elected to bring pork back to her district.
So how can we be sure Bachmann will be an Outsider to clean up the swamp, while she’s engaging (at least one) typical DC insider deal?

Sarah likes windfall profit taxes and turning US sovereignty over to the UN. She also likes Title 9 and set up a commission for climate change.
Would I agree with O’Donnell about her and go on to give O’Donnell and Obama support?
Absolutely not.
