I remember that, a number of years ago in New England, an ordinary citizen was convicted of murder and given a very long sentence. There was a great deal of discussion here on FR that said citizen was innocent and was a fall guy for some mob-FBI informant and that the FBI was totally complicit, letting this guy take the fall, clearing the books and taking the pressure off the informant. I wonder if this was the guy!

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation likes to claim it always gets its man, sometimes in a hail of bullets, like Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, occasionally through the tax code, which is how it nabbed Al Capone."

The FBI did neither. Bonnie and Clyde were killed by Texas Rangers Frank Hamer, Ted Hinton, and their posse. Capone was gotten by Treasury IRS agents Frank Wilson and Elmer Irey. The G-Men had nothing to do with either case. FBI agent Melvin Purvis did blast Dillinger outside that theater in Chicago, though.

Mexican Cartel members usually have nicknames here are some that are so goofy I don’t know how anyone take them seriously! From ( http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_18289347?source=most_viewed)

It is common for crime suspects in Mexico to have colorful nicknames. Some of the most unusual are:

La Barbie.

El Come Arroz (rice eater).

El Güero Hitler (the blond Hitler).

El Harry Potter.

El Marlboro.

El Modelo (the model).

El Mónico Lewynsky.

El Nazi.

El Rambo.

El Taliban.

El X-men.

The linked site is a pita! I click on the link, it takes me to the story, but it’s darkened out, and has a register window. I click on “close” for the register window, and it opens the basic page with all the stories they’re covering. I click on the Bulger story, and the whole process repeats!

Did you try bugmenot.com ???

It isn’t ALways useful, but in many cases...
