My take is that Rick is trying to out maneuver Sarah. Hey. If she ain’t running - if she’s not yet declared - then now is the time for Rick to make a move.

Later, if Sarah does run, it will be interesting to see the gains and losses these two frontrunners will have.

LOL - reminds me of Charlie Christ's warm reception of Imam Obama.

If anyone thinks Perry is conservative, they're uninformed or just stupid.

That's all we need is another RINO. AGREED!

1. TransTexas Corridor support (NAFTA highway)

2. Attempt to force Gardisil on my daughters

3. Border control flip/flop - against it before he was for it

4. Fraternizing with globalist Bilderbergers

5. Likes big government

6. Bottom line - As we say in Texas, "all hat and no cattle"

My take:

Sarah will run as a third party candidate, IF the RINOpublicans nominate Romney or another RINO.
Her book, going rogue, sets the state.
She has an infrastructure that does not depend on the RINOpublican Party.

It’s funny that everyone except those here trying to derail Perry consider him to be pretty far right.

I sense you dislike the close ties between Rick Perry and Rudy Giulini. Why is that? Are you a closet Rudy supporter?”

To answer that question, I am not a Rudy supporter. He’s a social liberal, I’m not and I’d prefer the GOP nominee to pick a conservative. This goes clear back to Reagan putting Bush on the ticket. He felt like he had to, and maybe he was right.

But that hurt the cause. I would like us to grow beyond that sort of need to be expedient.

All that said, I would support a Perry/Giuliani ticket in the general, and I do think it would be entertaining to watch Giuliani smash Biden in a debate.....

The GOP elite is pushing Perry and attempting to paint him as “conservative” for the uninformed and the sheer stupid.

Perry is Bush3....

No More RINOs!!!!!

If Perry does run and Palin doesn't it will make for a very interesting primary to watch. Talk about heads exploding, you ain't seen nothing yet. Hey maybe we can share Perry with the other 56 states and get a new governor, reckon? Can't seem to be him at the polls so maybe a promotion, lol.

"Rick Perry is true to conservative principles even when others think the party
needs to go a different direction. I like that about him: he doesn't care which
way the wind blows, he acts on his beliefs. That's why I am supporting
Governor Rick Perry for re-election", Palin wrote.

I don’t think he’s too Texan. I thinks he’s too pro illegal alien.

Not voting for someone I don’t trust. I don’t trust Perry. And he throws hissyfits with the best of them. Case and point: Governor’s convention 2009.

Just looked at the Gardisil article you cite. It does not say what you say it says. There is no force involved. In fact, and to quote the article, it says: "Texas allows parents to opt out of inoculations by filing an affidavit objecting to the vaccine on religious or philosophical reasons."

Did not Perry stand to gain big bucks from his association with Merck as he tried to force Gardasil on our little girls?

What about that $6,000 campaign contribution from Merck?

Now that was nasty business. Thank God Perry was turned down on that BS by us sensible Texans.

Perry was opposed to the Arizona illegals bill. I have no respect for that, at all.

Is this the same insider that said Trump would run? I don’t believe it until I see it.

I have thought for a long time and for a multitude of reasons that Palin is not running. The fact that she has been devoting energy to trademarking the palin brand confirms it to me. That effort is 100% market-driven ($$$$$) and virtually anti-political.

There will be a lot of disappointment here and exponentially more spin.

You should not have to opt out, you should have to opt in. Why should a parent have to go to the trouble of filing an affidavit, and list any reason for their objection.

Not on Free Republic you won't. I've seen enoough of JR's posts. I think he would "bugzapper" anyone who supported Giuliani even as a VP candidate.

That's just my opinion. I know I would not support a Perry/Giuliani ticket. Nope. No way.

I honestly think this will make the race even better.

HOWEVER, hubby and I watched Rick Santorum on Beck today and we both REALLY like him. Hubby’s remark was, “This guy really has the principles.!”
