He stands up to leftist hecklers and Americans finds someone who would not just bs about "the high road" but would fight for them.

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: 2012; gop; reagan
This is a minumum threshold for any candidate to take on the leftist thug occupying the White House and the mob supporting him.

Lol, “the heckler was never heard from again.” Leave it to MSNBC to leave the impression that Reagan had him offed.

I remember GHWB telling a heckler to “shut up” as well. Clinton got heckled by a guy named “Luke Sissyfag” over not funding AIDS research, Clinton actually tried to soothe him with kind words. I also remember Reagan geting heckled by some guy from the Right, who thought he wasn’t “conservative” enough.

Luke Sissyfag has changed his name back.

The whole thing was a publicity stunt anyway. Now he’s an animal-rights activist. Seeing a pattern here?

That is one of the reasons I liked Reagan, instead of trying to kiss @$$ and pander those who hate our ideas, he didn’t put up with their $h!t. Something that Bush Sr. did especially makeing a comment about a “kinder gentler nation” where it is pandering instead of telling the left as it is, no B.S. !

who thought he wasn’t “conservative” enough.

If you are historically, and politically norant, than you could look at some thoings reagan did and come away with thinking he was a moderate.

Don't get me wrong, Reagan is my hero, but look at his Supreme Court picks. Scalia and Bork aside, Sandra Day O'Connor & Anthony Kennedy have both been thorns in the side of conservatives.

Now history and political knowledge will prove Reagan never would have nominated Kennedy if Bork was approved, but most people are ignorant of political history in America.

Same goes for the biggest tax increase he signed with the understanding that the Democrats would send him equal spending cuts to sign, which they never did.

All I'm trying to point out is that I can see how a politically nieve person, not understanding the game of politics, would questionReagan's conservatism.

The majority of the American people respect a leader who doesn’t take any crap. That wasn’t the only time Reagan shut down a heckler either. I remember a few months before that, Reagan was campaigning in an urban ghetto and predictably some welfare queen type came up to him and asked him what he was going to do to help the poor. Reagan shot her a withering look and asked her what she was doing about it. I’ve been looking for that clip on YouTube for years now.
