Four illegal immigrants caught in Beaver Meadows since Wednesday were ordered to be released by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, the borough police chief said.
On Thursday afternoon, police stopped a blue Honda Accord that was traveling 57 mph in a 35 mph zone on Route 93, Beaver Meadows Police Chief Michael Morresi said.
The driver, Robert Isaac Rivera-Campos, 22, of El Salvador, could not produce proof of insurance for the car, which had an expired registration and Maryland plates, Morresi said. One of the three passengers had a valid Maryland driver's license but the other two were from Honduras and had fake identifications, he said. ICE was notified and discovered the driver and the two men from Honduras - 33-year-old Carlos Cordona and 24-year-old Walter Borgas - were in this country illegally for six years. All four men were most recently living in Baltimore.
Rivera-Campos was cited for speeding and having no license; Cordona and Borgas were cited for having false identifications. ICE refused to pick them up, according to Morresi, because they had no criminal records; however, Morresi discovered one of the men was charged with assault. Since it was a recent incident, the charge did not appear in the system, he said.
About 5:30 p.m. Morresi said three of the men went to the impound lot and asked an attendant if they could retrieve something out of the vehicle. Morresi said the three illegals jumped in the car and drove off toward Hazleton.
On Wednesday, Morresi stopped 24-year-old Cezar Ramirez-Cortes for speeding on Route 93. An investigation revealed that Ramirez-Cortes, who did not have a criminal record, was originally from Mexico and had been stopped for speeding six times in the past four years he has been in the U.S. illegally.

Are they going to be fined for the traffic violations? If the don’t pay the fines will they be jailed like I would be? Even if we cannot deport them, the least we can do is make life so miserable for them that they will deport themselves. Take away thier cars. Take away their jobs. Don’t give them anything. Oh well, one can dream.
DO you ever get the feeling that maybe ICE is in the US illegally? They certainly have no desire to enforce immigration laws or protect US sovereignty. They seem to only be interested if a rape or murder is committed and then only to let the perp go free in another country. If ICE is so useless maybe they should be eliminated and save us a buck. I bet small militias would be far far more effective and not cost the taxpayers for their service while concomitantly saving the costs of services to those who shouldn’t be here to begin with.
ICE, does any of those clowns do anything for their overpaid rears.
I guess the only question is, why do citizens bother to abide by the laws? I mean screw it, here we are in anarchy central with regard to foreign nationals, but you and I have to toe the line or else.

Why spend billions and hundreds of billions on "Immigration and Customs Enforcement" if immigration and customs aren't being enforced????

There is not a budget, which means to me that the agencys must ask Congress for funding when they run out of money. Why then, does the House agree with the request?
If I am wrong, I would like a lucid explanation of the agency appropriation process.
Just what law says that the House MUST sign onto the further destruction of our Country by continuously funding the very people who are leading us down the drain?
