I check many food products before I buy, whether they are from China. I have put many back on the shelf brcause they are. I would rather spend more money to ensure quality.

Yup, I do the same thing, but not just with edibles.

Keep an eye on where your over-the-counter and prescription drugs come from. Ditto durable goods (remember the contaminated dry wall?), textiles, pet food, everything. Everything. Although it's getting much harder now to know what's going on because so many domestic producers are buying raw materials from China.

China is the main culprit, but there are others. I remember a case way back in the 70s, I believe, where they flagged a shipment of contaminated steel coming in from Mexico. It was recycled -- and radioactive.

Basically, if it comes from a country that seems to hate our guts, I don't buy their crap.

And don't mention illegal farm workers... Because crap is basically what they are doing -- on our produce, in our dairy, and everything else they touch.

I've told my wife we may just have to go out and find 40 acres and a mule somewhere. Cheers!
