WE have way too many wolves in Alaska, many GMU's are about devoid of moose due to the explosive growth of wolf populations with the lack of predator control.

Biggest problem facing sportsman are our corrupt politicals with their hands out for the wolf luver's money. The ones that call for wolf control are then targeted at election time. No joke, the politicals are very aware of the bucks the wolf luvers are ready to send their way.

Palin is one of the few that did all she was able to, to control wolf numbers when they got outta whack. I actually had wolves in my garbage cans along the side of my shed at 3am in morning last Nov. My nx door neighbor ran out in his driveway to kill a wolf that had his dog by the neck, sprayed blood all over the snow with 12 gage. Boy, I see wolves close up here at home, and the Elk Foundation needs to be proactive on this one for sure.

The management and control of the wolves should be in the hands of the states.

"We have way too many wolves in Alaska...."

Last fall I hunted bear 100 miles north of Dillingham, didn't hear or see any wolves, but the other hunter in camp shot a scrawny female in bad shape off a moose carcass.

I had plenty of tags & was hoping to get a wolf or wolverine, but only got my brownie.

Just before I left, the outfitter's other camp had two wolverines hitting a carcass, but there wasn't enough time left on my hunt to transfer me up there.

The hunt was a hoot anyway.
