here is all a terrorist would have to do to crash a plane loaded with fuel into anything he wanted, anytime he wanted with zero risk.
1st Buy old used retired 727 or whatever.
2nd land said plane at your private airstrip.
3rd load plane full with fuel and or explosives.
4th fly plane into whatever you want.
Tell me how frisking 90 grandmas is going to stop that?
They don't even need all the money to buy the plane, they just have to arrange financing and crash it before the first payment is even due.
Don't you get it? This is exactly what the sheeple like. This country is long gone.
And anyone who supported the Patriot Act and all the other Bush II era atrocities have no right to complain.
Of course they have no shame. They have their self rightuous authority to protect Americans from themselves.
TSA is showing US citizens they are in control and will do whatever they deem necessary to exercise their authority. It is only when that exercise becomes outrageous that they are in their comfort zone. The purpose of their practices is to overcome any semblance of passenger dignity.
Granted, but did things like this happen under Bush? I don't remember hearing of any, and the MSM made it a point to highlight every perceived infraction of our civil liberties.
The only reason this didn't happen under Bush is because he's no longer president. If he were, the only difference between what is happening today and what would be happening is more leftists and fewer "conservatives" would be making useless noises about it. We're being played by the powers that be.
They keep us divided and split us into factions with their propaganda machines.
We see things such as that described by the article, yet we do nothing.
Pointing out that Bush is no longer President doesn’t answer the question of whether or not it happened when he WAS President. And besides, don’t you think that the administration’s policies as enforced by “Big Sis” have something to do with this incident?
No. Not really.
Is TSA's terrorism Watch List being abused to target whistleblowers?
Bush was nothing more than a liberal with an (R) behind his name.
At least this story seems to be picking up steam and is being reported by more outlets. As the outrage grows maybe there will be a little more pressure for things to change.
So when is the last time a young mid eastern male was questioned for 45 minutes, forced to remove underwear etc? If it happens I will withdraw my comment. But for some reason it seems like these invasive unnecessary procedures only happen to the least threatening among us.
It has ever been so. A lack of respect for the elderly is rampant in our culture. Vile creatures with a smidgen of authority become abusive when confronted with gentility. The treatment of this lady, if it were the only excess perpetrated by this gang of goons, is sufficient to bring an outcry. The failure of Congress to address the jackbooted thugs at TSA is its own outrage.
Apart from that, I would attribute most of these as "bad apples", of which the TSA seems to have more than its share, rather than a policy enforced by the White House. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this.
Bush was nothing more than a liberal with an (R) behind his name.
He was a little more "big government" than I want in a President, but this was more of an example of the GOP allowing the Dems to federalize the TSA rather than privatizing it. Remember that debate after 9-11? When the GOP had the White House and Congress, they had the mandate to pass their legislation, and could have privatized the screeners. But instead, in order to avoid criticism from the Dems/MSM, they "reached across the aisle" and compromised.
Of course, the Dems and their MSM mouthpieces constantly attacked them anyway, and 2006 and 2008 were the result.
