The city of Cleavland was one of the places investigated. The inner city of Cleavland and the inner ring suburbs are losing population as former residents are being lured farther and farther out into the exurbs as large builders build developments of hundreds of homes at a time.

Cleveland, Ohio?

Peoria has certainly declined over the past 10-12 years. The house I grew up in is not essentially located in a ghetto. Peoria is the epitome of white flight out of the city...not even the inner city, but what used to be nice middle class neighborhoods. The taxes are off the hook and the schools are downright scary. Not the city I knew as a child.

The place my dad grew up in Peoria, near Fredonia, is definitely a ghetto. We lived way outside of town near the airport off of Farmington Rd between Pleasant Valley and Norwood.

Since Chicago is one of the top breeding grounds of the thug culture, they should keep their little hatchlings.

I was trying to get a fix on what is going on in Peoria politics, all I was able to grasp is that the Mayor Jim Ardis is a Republican. I hope this isn’t a case of linguine-spined Republicans just giving the Dems everything they want.

High capacity magazines exist for this very reason.

Don’t be a helpless victim of wolf pack attacks.

The police....they sound like real cowards. they hear a riot and they bug out................

What a surprise. The donut munchers are too busy playing dress up andputting on their balaclavas in order to storm unarmed citizens and kill them. If they actually have to fight and defend someone ..... Well heck boys, they might get hurt and then apply for disability and pension. Cause the most important thing a cop can do is "come home safe and sound".

somebody needs to throw a water ballon at the mouthiest of the bunch and run as fast as he can into a cul de sac pulling about 15-20 of the mob with him. Then block it off with some trucks, 2-3 guys on one side start firing and push them to the end of the cul de sac and funnel them into a zone.

but that's only if they hurt my family. Not likely, since they only live in states with strong second amendment rights and neighbors that don't tolerate this cr&p.

Diversity is our strength. The melting pot theory is flawless. More immigration from third world countries will only make us stronger.

Type O Negative was a group of phrophets with their song “Kill all the White People Then We Will Be Free”.

My mini-14 would be quite capable of this mob, unfortunately I lost it in a boating accident.

I grew up near Forrest Hill & Knoxville. It was full of nice middle class neighborhoods. Now it’s a cesspool.

In ancient times the Spartans would send their youth out at night to kill any Helot felt to be a threat. The Helots were the people who once ruled that part of ancient Greece conquered by the Spartans-a Dorian people. Such an interaction between the victors and vanquished is starting here.

Would you know if Peoria is a Democrat majority city?

I’m almost finished with Ann’s latest book. Just wow!
It’s one of those times when I begin to see the events in the book mirrored in real life and wonder why I hadn’t noticed the pattern before.

There is much truth in your observation. But wait -- THERE'S MORE!!

This is NOT original to me, but it's correctly said that, within the Beltway, Pubbies are simply Progressive Lite. Where the Dems want socialism NOW, the establishment Pubbies are content to wait a few days.

It's the problem about which Lord Acton spoke that "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Once inside that f'ing Beltway, they seem to go apesqueeze with their sense of being "special." Our late friend Larry McDonald often observed that the ONLY thing one can know with any certainty about a new member is that he knew how to win an election.

A number of years ago, I flew into Dulles for a CATS meeting in Washington. The last leg of the trip was on one of those twin engine 20 passenger commuter prop jobs with single seating down each side of the narrow cabin. As we let down into Dulles, I leaned over to the guy across the aisle and said “We must be close to Washington – I just felt my IQ surge 20 points.”

Without missing a beat, the guy came back with “Sorry, SENATOR, I didn’t recognize you.”

Scroll down on the cached page and read that article about how Peoria is one of the best towns in the U.S. to start over.

ROTFLMAO

That is what I recalled. And that is what my second google turned up.

However, the first time I tried a search using google maps,it kept showing a mall-filled area between Pekin and Peoria.

The Sheridan Road area looks pretty run-down. I surfed through my childhood neighborhood near Bradley University and it, too looks down-at-the-heels.

It was shocking to drvie through my old neighborhood. It looks like Chicago has finally oozed pretty far south.

So sad.

They dems are taking over. It shows.

Think Ray LaHood. The LaHoods were a huge family in Peoria. Lots of LaHood kids were teenages when I was...most of them went to the local catholic high school..those kids had the best drugs in the city and got away with bloody murder.
