The method punishment is certainly acceptable it is the executing of a person innocent of the charged offense that is unacceptable.
I agree with you. I can think of a few sick perverts, that been been found guilty, this punishment would have been perfect for!
During Desert Shield Phase of the 1st Gulf War in 1990 October 12th myself an 3 other members of my EOD team were taken to what looked like a soccer field where a man an woman were to be executed for adultery. Rare that the man was also put to death yet he wasn’t a Saudi citizen so the expat was found guilty.
We didn’t know it at the time but we were considered to be the Saudis version of insults to the families of the victims. About 30 or more “round eyes” aka infidels including us on the front row as a big ole goober with a claymore like sword beheaded both of em....
Next time we were invited anywhere by our Saudi liasion officer we asked for a program of the afternoons entertainment.

It’s not “murder” if it’s capital punishment. By definition murder is an unlawful act.
