Cairo (CNN) -- U.S. Sens. John McCain and John Kerry focused on the U.S. and Egyptian economies during a trip to Egypt Saturday and Sunday.
Their stop in Cairo was part of a broader trip to promote U.S. economic ties in the region.
"As America continues to struggle with its economic recovery, we face no more urgent priority than to expand our trade and investment in the world," McCain said in a Sunday statement.

McCain reiterated, in a speech at the plant, America's willingness to provide Egypt with political and financial assistance during the country's transitional phase.
"The American people, on a non-partisan basis, want to see this revolution succeed," McCain said. "The American people will live in a more secure world if this revolution succeeds."
In his remarks at the plant, Kerry mentioned a new "enterprise fund" that would provide "several hundreds of millions of dollars" to help Egyptian small businesses.
Billions of dollars are needed to revive Egypt's economy, Kerry said, but the United States is willing, along with other countries, to provide assistance.

I think it’s because we could have been out of this mess with regard to him, someone supposedly one of our own sold us out on it, and this prick is doing more insane things with regard to aiding the Left than he has ever done before.
It also true, we predicted it. We warned people about it. And now here we are, watching this prick do it, and the people that helped facilitate it be sainted.
And once again, our opinion is questioned and the people who helped bring us this mess are revered with a fervor that is unsettling to say the least.
It’s like watching the wrong color of paint dry, having someone come in and ask us why we painted it that ugly color in the first place, and we didn’t do any of the selecting or painting.
Then when it’s determined the paint color must be changed and the wall repainted, we’re told the person who picked the color and did the painting, is more qualified than we are to pick the next color.
DEFUND all socialist collectives, foreign and domestic.
Make legislatures (state and federal) part-time with 1/10th pay, NO benefits, NO retirement, NO perks. Reign in these Con-men/criminals. We’re NOT all socialists now.
We can live as very low-taxed, prosperous citizens in a country which acts as a beacon for individual liberty.

Let me see if I got this right: They Muslim Brotherhood was released out of the Egyptian prisons, the Copts (Christians) are being freely murdered, Egypt has broken the peace agreement between them and Israel for which Israel gave back the entire Sinai Desert up to and including the Suez Canal and all of the oil reserves therein, Egypt destroyed the gas pipeline going into Israel, Egypt has traded embassadors with IRAN and allowed Iranian war vessels into the Red Sea and through the Suez into the Medeteranian,
And we are giving Egypt HOW MUCH MONEY????????
