Smoking bans kill more people than 2nd hand smoke Yuh. Let's just go ahead and legalize indoor smoking.

Amid a background of throbbing, beating drums Lord Digby remarked: “The natives are restless tonight!”

Sounds as if Philly is going to have one bad Obama summer. No jobs. Higher prices for everything. No hope, and the only change is the weather getting hotter.
Chicago isn't far behind. They had to close the beaches when the gangs took over. The new fad is for armed "Flash Mobs" to take over buses and L cars and making off with money, phones, and anything of value from the passengers. They used to call that train robbery, but that would reflect badly on Mayor for Life Rham.

I never trusted that guy.
I was making oatmeal just this morning and my three-year-old said there was a witch on the box.

The Amish jokes were funny the first few 100,000 times. They're a troublesome lot, aren't they?

I’d bet not a single victim had a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

Just think, we have a three day weekend coming up.
Bet there will be lots of fireworks over the 4th.

Police also released shocking video of a patron who was ejected from a Nicetown bar early yesterday morning for smoking who came back and fired 11 shots into the bar, killing Carl Sharper, 43, and injuring five others. This stuff just writes itself.

William Penn's son was the one most responsible for the family's colony. He became quickly tired with the antics of the numerous Scandinavian Lutherans and brought over Quakers to set things straight.
When they didn't settle down immediately, he allowed Quakers to use FORCE against Lutherans. They retaliated by bringing over special ministers trained in the arts of civil disobedience (and fist fighting).
Eventually the Scandinavians relocated to York leaving the rest of Eastern Pennsylvania for the Quakers.
These people DID NOT BELONG TO the American Friends Service Committee and were not exactly pacifists.

More than a nickname really. “Philadelphia” is a portmanteau of two Greek words, meaning brother and love.
Some have snarked, “City of Brotherly Shove.”

Ah, yes, the indefatigable Frank Rizzo. My mom and dad loved him: they were lifelong GOPers who changed their voter registration to Democrat in 1971 so they could vote for him in the mayoral primary! Some notable Rizzo quotes:
"I'm so tough I make Attila the Hun look like a faggot"
"The Philadelphia PD could invade Cuba and win"
They don't make 'em like that anymore ...
