We are certainly capable of violence but that's not the same thing as propensity.
We are descendant of hunter-gatherers and we raised flowers and livestock.
For thousands of years we have been fierce warriors one moment and loving parents the next.
It's not a conflict, it's like two sides of a coin. Can't have one without the other.
Sane people have the ability to regulate their own actions, impulses does not automatically become acts.
So what if adrenaline is flowing after a (video) game.
We still have the ability to think "Right or Wrong?" or "Consequences!" before we do anything.
Carrying a weapon comes with a huge responsibility. Most of us are keenly aware of that.
Libs are not used to thinking anything through, so maybe that's where their suspicions are coming from.

In contrast, the weapons effect has become an article of faith among many anti-gun advocates, who are convinced that guns turn peaceable people into dangerous aggressors.I saw this tried some years ago. The televised seminar was for lawyers and appeared that the anti-gunners were showing the audience how they could frame their cases using epidemiology as a basis in firearms crimes.
The "doctors" introduced the subject by showing slides and talking about John Snow, who traced the probable cause of an 1854 cholera outbreak to a particular public water pump in London.
These dimwits were trying to equate guns to that pump, and I watched in disbelief as supposedly educated people nodded their heads and took notes. Evidently the stupidity of such an approach was so evident, it never caught on.

Fast cars make dangerous drunk drivers?
Smart phones make otherwise morally upstanding congressmen become sleezy perverted purveyors of porn?
Public schools make teachers into pedophiles?

Liberals are so power hungry that they superimpose their politics and lack of ethics on everyone. They are afraid that they can not take over the country without Patriots rising up against them ultimately with guns. They don't want to understand others they want to conquer them.

The hilarious echoes from the past about this.
1) EC comics cause children to become violent.
2) Rock ‘n’ Roll music, much the same.
3) Violent cartoons on television, again with the violence.
4) Violent music lyrics, etc.
5) Pornography makes men rape.
6) Violent video games, etc.
