Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain blasted President Obama for his handling of the economy in a Fox and Friends appearance Tuesday morning, accusing Obama and Democrats of wanting a bigger economic crisis so they could raise taxes.
I predicted this nine months ago, quite frankly, that that was the game plan, he said.
Cain also said the impasse over the deficit-reduction talks is a result of Obama failing to lead. Cain's solution? Prioritize paying interest on the debt, military salaries, Social Security and Medicare bills, and then put everything else on the table for dramatic cuts.
His plan for the economy, he said, included capping taxes on corporate profits and individuals at 25 percent, suspending taxes on repatriated profits for multinational companies and cutting the capital gains tax to zero.
Cain also downplayed charges by his New Hampshire campaign staffer Matt Murphy, who recently quit, that he wasnt spending enough time in the primary state. He said that his 14 visits to New Hampshire and 21 visits to Iowa this year represent a serious effort by his campaign. He insists Murphy left for personal reasons he wouldnt discuss, but Murphy said it was because of a lack of time and resources devoted to the state.
The Fox hosts closed the interview by asking Cain about some of the jokes comedian Jon Stewart made at his expense, including poking fun at early statements that he would not sign a bill longer than three pages (a promise he has since withdrawn). The question they put to Cain: were they racist?
"I do not believe it was racist, no. Liberals have a problem with black conservatives. With Jon being the liberal he is, it's more that I'm a black conservative than it is because I happen to be a black man," Cain said.
Cain is taking it to Obama right now — his video at http://www.arealleader.com is hard hitting, basically revealing Obama for the communist he is.
Everytime I see “Cain” I think “McCain” and get confused as to why this RINO is suddenly making sense.:)
He wants to crush our economy so he can bring about all the “changes” he learned from his marxist friends and mentors. There is no “hope” in those “changes!” Obama is an enemy of the state! Americans need to wise up and pay attention or America the free will be no more!
Help spread the word about Herman. Post one article a day on your FaceBook page...let all your friends know it's time to raise some Cain!!
Very good solutions he is giving.
The video of this interview is here - it is excellent! http://video.foxnews.com/v/1028008228001/herman-cain-catching-fire/?playlist_id=87937
This sounds familiar...
I’ve come to believe he (Clinton) needs a certain level of violence in this country. He is willing to accept a certain level of killing to further his political agenda. The vice president, too. How else can you explain this dishonesty we get out of the administration?
Wayne LaPierre
I have noticed that a number of people refer to Herman Cain in print as Mr Cain, but you never hear him called that verbally. I have to wonder if they are deliberatly trying blur some line or send some subliminal clue to bias conservatives against Herman Cain. McCain, Mr Cain--one does visually remind you of the other.
Maybe I should take off my tin foil hat, but that's the only reason I can come up with as to why they do it.
That prediction was a couple years late, Herman, but welcome to the party. Yes, it is, was, and will be part of the game plan to destroy America.
EVERY TIME A LIBERAL SAYS SOMETHING AGAINST HERMAN CAIN FROM NOW ON YOU *MUST* TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE RACIST
THEY JUST OPPOSE CAIN BECUASE HE IS A BLACK MAN
No, not because he is a black man, because he is a black conservative. That is what scares the living daylights out of them.
Bernie Goldberg, is that you?
LOL! Politicians and their favored, government-dependent constituents want the economy to recover. The rest of us are wanting to see the consequences of tyrannical policies through. Cheerleading politicos made their bed of stolen money and legalistic robberies. They’ll lay in it.
