Email about MLK. ASks did he act honestly and sincerely. Or was he a huckster. How does Obama compare with MLK. He believes he was sincere.
Jesse asks s Budhism a religion? She says Buddhism is a way of life. how to concentrate, how to be more mindful. She was raised Jewish, but converted to Buddhism. Jesse asks how buddhism helped her. Buddhism offers very practical tools to deal with fears, anger etc. Jesse asks who was buddha. He was born a prince lost in luxury. At age of 29 he saw old person, sick person etc, and left home to find the truth himself. He spent 6 years punishing his body and lvng in luxury wasn't the answer...middlw way is answer. JEsse asks difference between christianity and buddhism. She says buddha is psychology, you can see deep into the existence of realty for yourself. Jesse says that once he could see for himself he was happy.
Jesse asks her about her meditation, she is teacher. She says it is scientific, and awareness of breath, body etc. JEsse asks does she have perfect peace? SHe says no, she doesn't have it now. But it is possible. WHat can people expect from it....less stress, insight into selves. Jesse asks does she have anger? Yes, Jesse asks does she feel one can overcome it. Yes she thinks so or at least it becomes just a flicker...he tells her he has no anger. When he forgave his parents God showed hm to forgive his parents...Asks why doesn't she do that. Buddhism does encourage forgiveness. Jesse says that he notices even in Chrstianity forgiveness is not given enough focus. JEsse asks do they have a bible..she says they have the words of buddha. Jesse ask about Dali Llama...she said he is a buddhist. Jesse says he is weak to him. She sees someone who lost a lot. Good bye, see you tomorrow!
