Who Are These Television "Political Strategists?"
One Citizen Speaking ^

Posted on 06/29/2011 8:58:33 PM PDT by T.L.Sink

The viewing audiences of cable TV are daily subjected to a multitude of Republican and Democratic "strategists" but the networks neglect to inform us of their backgrounds, education, political experience or expertise. Many appear to be about the age of college freshmen. Who exactly are they? The paramours of some network executives? People auditioning for a real job? Does the media have an obligation to disclose the backgrounds and qualifications of those purporting to be speaking on behalf of a cause or political party? As things now stand these mysterious people with 'no past' are making a laughing-stock of serious journalists.

Tamara Holder has to be the world's dumbest bimbo - after Nicole Wallace.

Nobody parades moronic political strategists on night after night like FNC. How FNC maintains its ratings is beyond me. It's like every night is a rerun.

Dear viewer,

Thank you for your inquiry.

In the case of our female pundits, they are the ones with the best damn looking legs that we could find. The matter of education, political experience and expertise may or may not have been discussed. We can't recall.

Yours truly,
FOXNews, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC

With a name like Mercedes Viana Schlapp who needs to know anything. Sounds like a refugee from the Sound Of Music.

I agree. I think the ratings are high because the “competition” - CNN, MSNBC - is even WORSE! In other words, there is no serious competition. For example, the windbag O’Reilly constantly brags about his ratings. But look at his rivals - Matthews, Maddow, etc. - and even you and I would be stars competing with those losers!

Great post! I wish I’d have thought of that! It just goes to show what we REALLY are focused on when those info-babes pontificate! (At least that’s my focus!)

Right now I don’t know which is more nauseating - listening to juvenile “political strategists” or the never-ending tabloid TV obsession with the Anthony trial. At least I’m catching up on some reading. C-Span is looking better every day!

You said aloud what I was thinking. However, tonight Hannity did say the very attractive "strategist" on his show worked for Condi Rice at one time. If thats true, the gal must've been a teenager at the time (looks like early 20's now).
How do people get those jobs anyway?

My thoughts exactly! I saw that “strategist” too and thought most of her strategizing must be aimed at earning enough money to finish college. I was only being half facetious when I asked those questions about them in my opening post.
