On his radio show and his website today, Beck described the incident and said an angry moviegoer kicked a glass of wine onto his wife Tania’s back, and as she got up to walk away, a man shouted: “We hate conservatives here.”

We have the spandex clad biker-libs riding down our country road all summer; just last week, one of them rode by yelling: “nice way to burn your trash!”

We were cooking our dinner of steaks and fish over a nice smoky apple-wood fire-pit.

So now, we try to start the fire-pit early in the day and make it really smoky as it helps keep the squitos away.

Can’t wait for their next big “race”!

Mr. Beck passed through our small county and visited the county fair. He was well received and graciously had pictures taken with people. The paper had it on the front page. Life is different in small town.

Seinfeld the person (i.e., the idiot), or Seinfeld as in the Seinfeld sit-com. If the latter, I could only wish it were so; liberals in the mold of the characters on the Seinfeld sit-com would just sit around complaining about conservatives but not actually have the gumption to actually get up and do anything about it; instead of hurling insults or throwing glasses of wine, they would have stopped at throwing sneers and evil glances in Beck's general direction, but only when they thought he wasn't looking.

Well, Glenn is out of New York. Per the Dallas Morning News and local real estate sources, he has leased a home in a gated community in a suburb between Dallas and Ft. Worth. Same development that the Jonas Brothers and other high profile celebs are in.

Difference is, down here no one bothers celebrities. No photogs, etc. Not like NY, LA. He can live a semi-normal life.

Had the same experience two weeks ago on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

There is a Palin sticker on the pickup I was using that morning, parked it at the curb to visit a site on 2nd Ave. after talking to some of the men I walked back to my truck and was set upon by a group who disagreed with the sticker, told them it's my truck and buzz off, the loudest of the group, a guy about 30, called me some vile names...I told him to grow up and move away from the truck...he said “no, what are you going to about it old man” and he pushed me, I'm 56,
6 feet tall and 200 lbs. “knock the shit out of you” and punched him in the side of the head he went down in a heap...I looked at his friend and asked, “who's next”, no volunteer's.

I got in my truck looked around to pull into traffic and the utility crew across the street as laughing and clapping. Still haven't heard from anyone...

I have only one word of advice for Beck and his family. What the heck are you doing living in a fetid s**thole like New York City? GET. OUT. None of the world's cities are worth a hoot.
