He says (in effect) that to insure that Congress is never asked again, that the President should embrace “cut, cap, and balance.” It is the same thing, with a different statement of hyperbole that he has been stating for weeks.
Demint remains a patriot in my eyes.

Agreed. I don’t see what all the castigation is over. DeMint outlined a recipe for a one-time debt ceiling increase that he knows the President and Congressional Democrats will never agree to; it’s a politician’s way of saying, “no chance” while appearing to remain constructive. Surely this is not difficult to understand?
