And what do you think he would be running against in the general election if not the Big Mac of Turd sandwiches?

His experience in defeating turd sandwiches convinces me more than ever that he is the douche for the job. Some times a good douche is all you can hope for and more than you deserve.

Yeah, from Seattle to Miami (not taking a direct line) it is 3,334 miles. Direct line would be less. In fact, from no where in Texas can you go 4,000 miles and still be in the US unless you keep driving in circles.

McAllen to Caribou, Me is 2,585 mi and McAllen to Seattle is 2,359. The biggest problem I had with the TTC is we already have I35 going through San Antonio, Dallas, OKC, Wichita, KC, Des Moines, and Minneapolis. I10, I20, I30, I40, and I70 intersect it, taking the route to LA, Pheonix, New Orleans, Mobile, Jacksonville, Jackson, Birmingham, Atlanta, Little Rock, Memphis, NAshville, Denver, Topeka, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, DC, and Baltimore. With all of those stops based off of 35, I think we already had a TTC.

I know the big reason we heard in commercials on WBAP were that the TTC would transport “Mexican” trucks, and so we shouldnt like it. But we are already shipping a lot from Mexico now.

The highway /distance mileage is likely measured by both directions, not just northbound lanes.

Not in Texas. The 4k miles was going to be what started in Mexico and ended close to Canada. And while Perry wanted to build the Texas portion of that, he couldnt build a road in Oklahoma if he wanted to. Using the “4,000 mile” phrase is a way to exaggerate the writer’s point while being technically correct, but not intellectually honest.

I remember her complaining because one of the tv channels wouldnt let her on the debate stage. They had a set % you had to poll at to qualify, and she wasnt meeting it, so she cried foul and the typical “the man is holding me down.” That was the point I stopped listening to anything she had to say.

So, was this good idea to have a Mexican superhighway going straight up through Texas, from Mexico, which Perry supported?

The Bilderberg Group is not a fairy tale. There is more discussion about globalism these days. It is no longer a “what if” situation since the European Union. What is the European Union if not a major step to a one world government? First it was the United Nations and then after fifty years they came up with the European Union. Our Mr. Perry of the Lone Star State was going along with the NASCO Highway until the people found out about it and kicked up a fuss. Yes, Virginia there really is a globalist one-world plan.

Most of the western nations’ leaders are puppets of the one worlders. Just because Perry is from Texas and knows how to sound like a Texas cowboy doesn’t mean that he is really a man of the people. Politicians have been pulling the wool over our eyes for many years. They and their handlers know how to use all of the stereotypes that appeal to people. Hollywood also knows how to use those stereotypes. We keep voting for people because of various stereotypes which appeal to people of various demographic groups. The political handlers have known about this since the eighteen hundreds. We need to stop being rubes and wise up. More often than not we are being played.

Did I say the TTC was a good idea? No, I think builing a mirror to I35 is pointless. Does the fact that goods from Mexico would come up through it bother me? No.

The word Mexico doesnt scare me. I dont automatically oppose something just because “Mexican” is applied to it.

Don’t you just know the Looney Left over at Du and Kos are laughing up their sleeves about some FR haters trying to destroy Perry, the man they are most afraid of?
They’re also probably busy taking notes.

From DU and Kos:

From Democratic Underground forum:

(On Perry)
“You have no idea how much money this person has behind him. I do not want to say the sky is falling in but he and his machine are dangerous.”

“For anyone that is laughing off Perry’s ambitions. Do not underestimate Perry’s appeal. Perry is a real threat. He is slicker than wet dog shit and a will draw a freight train of big money to back his run.

The current incarnation of the repug party will LOVE Perry if he gets in the race. People outside of Texas just don’t know much about him. Enough of the squishy middle will vote for him just because he’s not Obama.

A Perry administration would be a disaster for us.”

Why Rick Perry is Very Very Scary

(Exerpts)

If you are not concerned about Perry running on the Texas job creation numbers that the Dallas Fed officially reported, look below the squiggly thing and consider the remarks in a speech to a local Dallas trade group by Richard W. Fischer, President of the Dallas Fed, in which he squarely credits Texas job growth to Perry’s insane, laissez faire Republican agenda of no taxes, no services and no regulation and corporate supremacy in all things.

He’s (Perry) the kind of candidate to whom everyday Americans can relate. He has an abundance of political skills, which explains why this career politician has never lost an election. He is affable, charming and a great campaigner.

Rick Perry is coming. Rick Perry is a sitting Governor in a state that can be portrayed as thriving in an election focused on jobs. the economy and the validity of Republican governing philosophy. Rick Perry will storm to the Republican nomination with his jobs record, political skill and impeccable Tea Party credentials. Rick Perry is playing the ant in a Texas remake of Aesop’s Fable, The Grasshopper and the Ant, but Winter won’t come until after the 2012 election. Rick Perry is very very scary.

If you’re not scared yet, consider these remarks from one of the debunkers of Perry’s economic record who, as a newspaper reporter and columnist in Dallas, knows the Governor very well:

__________

From the Kos forum:

And Perry also has (2+ / 0-)
Recommended by:cassandracarolina, LeftOfYou
the bona fides to bring out all of the religious conservative vote in a way that Romney or Pawlenty never could. He’s got enough Huckabee in him.

by Leap Year on Sun Jun 26, 2011 at 12:26:16 PM PDT

Koz readers took a poll:
Rick Perry in 2012?

He’s Bush Lite; no worries.
4% 5 votes
He’s far too extreme for a general election; no worries.
11% 12 votes
He’s a contender, but very beatable.
19% 21 votes
If he runs strong in the Midwest, he’ll be trouble for Obama.
14% 16 votes
Perry is scary; he could win with enough corrupt corporate lies and attacks.
38% 41 votes
Inaugurate him now and save all the trouble.
11% 12 votes

Wow, just looking at that map certainly looks like all roads lead to Texas. That means lots of money for SOME people in Texas. Of course, it also means lots more Chinese cheap goods transported from the Mexican ports and driven through Texas before spreading out throughout the country. This scheme also involves turning many of the highways that the taxpayers paid for into toll roads, so the taxpayers will be paying for them TWICE. Another thing that spooks me out is the idea that the vast network of toll roads will be a way for them to track our movements throughout the country.

Notice the question mark? It was a question.

Does the fact that goods from Mexico would come up through it bother me? No.

I prefer products produced here, in the U.S. by Americans. Thanks for your thoughts.

Relax, the political insiders have already chosen to run Perry...

No, I didnt need to. Ive lived in Texas the entire time Perry has been Governor. I dont like the TTC or the forced vaccinations. I know that rather than add an income tax, he was in support of user fees and bonds to raise money. I know he signed a bill limiting late term abortions. He has vetoed more bills than any other Texas Governor, which we wanted Bush to do as President.

There are things I like and things I dont. As for being a big statist, I dont plan to debate someone who uses a debate ending term. Everyone who is in politics thinks the country would fall apart without them.
