GOP leadership opens door to homosexual rep

Homosexual Republicans are celebrating what they see as a major victory for their cause. According to the Log Cabin Republicans, the Republican National Committee -- which is the central arm of the Republican Party -- has named the homosexual group's executive director to the RNC's Finance Committee. That committee is the fundraising arm of the RNC.

The Log Cabin group says R. Clarke Cooper will play a "critical" role in raising funds for the party's efforts to elect Republicans to the White House and across the country. Cooper says he will be working to elect what he calls "pro-equality Republicans."

Bob Kabel, a former national chairman of the Log Cabin Republicans who now chairs the District of Columbia Republican Committee, lauds Cooper's new role and references the GOP's "winning strategy for 2012, one based upon inclusion and the conviction that with a big tent the GOP can recapture the White House." Social conservatives who normally support the GOP have often expressed concern about the homosexual group gaining greater influence in the party.

It'd be nice if we could destroy all the RINOs, but like the poor, no doubt the craven and venal will always be with us, and will never fail to be pompous asshats about it.

I don't find it particularly fun to commit electoral RINOcide anymore than it's fun to kill mice or roaches when I find 'em in my house. Not fun, just necessary.

“Unnngh!”

That comment deserves its own thread.

Call if you must but they don’t care. How many millions of calls have already been made?

Face the truth. They are lost. Go Tea Party in spirit. Keep your Repub registration and vote accordingly in the primaries to oust the RINOS.

The Republican Party IS the Democrat Party. How many times must they rub our collective nose in their crap?

Conservatives are pro-God, pro-family and anti-sodomy.

If someone calls himself a conservative and believes in our Constitution and fiscal conservatism, I don't care if he believes in G-d or who he has sex with.

If you throw out all the gay conservatives, then you need to throw out all the conservatives who commit adultery, shack up before marriage, look at porn, eat too much, whip their kids with belts, spoil their kids, don't want kids, have problems with drugs or alcohol, are "fighting with G-d" (because isn't that what atheists are doing, since there IS a G-d), or have other flaws.

Anyone who believes like we do and is not perfect is only going to help us! Because none of us are perfect! Welcome to all who believe in FREEDOM and our founding documents.

"I've seen my neighborhood where we've lived for the last 30 years slowly turn into a a cruising ground for thugs and taggers."

As have most of us here.

"I've been beat down by the media and their partners the left, public sector unions and higher 'education'."

"The concept of shame, of doing the right thing is almost gone."

Ah ha!!! You said it yourself.......ALMOST. We have NOT lost yet. Heck, I'd rather go down fighting than walk away.

We are ALL in your same shoes. "Don't retreat, just reload". Can't remember who said that, it's on the tip of my tongue.....

"I am 'demanded' to show respect to every person regardless of their perversion or anti-social thought."

You are "demanded" no such thing. The only demand is to step in their face and say eff you. They don't like it very much, but it seems to cower them from my face.

"It saddens me is that beyond these walls not too many people in this country care what happens as long as they can afford the payments for the latest gizmo or who wins on America's most whatever."

That was then....this is now. They can no longer afford such things. They're too busy trying to keep up with their mortgage and credit card bills, which is why spending has come to a screeching halt.

"I'll celebrate Independence day but for me sadly not in a traditional way. My independence from a society who just don't care."

YOU celebrate the way you always have. If not, you allow them to defeat you. There are millions upon millions of us who feel exactly the same way you do. We're just not all "in your face vulgar" about it......yet.

Hang in there, at least until 2012. I think He may give us a 2nd chance and I'm sure you'd hate to miss out on that!

Here you go, Basil - you are going to take some heat for that comment. So will I for mine! Let’s get our flammable jammies on!

(Seriously, on election day, if we beat Obama by 1000 votes, who’s going to give back those votes because those people were homosexual?? Says more about some of us than our core beliefs, doesn’t it?)

Special rights for gays is in the constitution? Because supporting those who promote the homosexual agenda gets you that very thing.

Party over principle at work again.

We know we can count on you. Just give up a few more of your principles "for the Party" like you have in the past.

Any person whatever label he or she may pin on themselves, who is in favor of any part of the homsoexual agenda, is an enemy of the Constitution.

And therefore, not a conservative.

It’s that simple.

The Overton Window (the political theory, not the book of the same name by Glenn Beck.) Its what this crap is. The push for inclusiveness is very much a push for exclusiveness at the other end.

http://www.mackinac.org/OvertonWindow

Scroll down for an interactive demo. As things at one end of the scale become acceptable, things at the opposite end are pushed out.

It’s not what people do in their off hours.

It’s the agenda, which is promoted by many who themselves are not sex perverts.

It’s the damn agenda. Same sex marriage, “gay” sex ed in schools, homos in the military, “senstivity” training for all and sundry, attacks on free speech, on religious expression, on the Boy Scouts and so on and so on and so on.

Why are you so utterly blind? You think all that is jes’ fine and not infringing on anyone’s Constitutional rights?

I’ve given up on the GOP. The talking heads are saying no third party. I say WHY NOT??? especially when there’s not that much difference between the two and Rush won’t like me saying that. The GOP called here the other day and Hub answered and they wouldn’t let up unless he committed to giving them some money. He told them no and that they were irritating him. Good thing I wasn’t home and took that call......grrrrrr. :(

It’s not what people do in their off hours.

Exactly. I don't care what they do with their own lives but when we have to include them because of it, it becomes and agenda that affects our lives.

<<< “Cooper says he will be working to elect what he calls “pro-equality Republicans.”

What’s the point of electing a Republican if what you’re getting is the same as a Democrat? <<<<

Excellent observation.

AMEN!

Being sound on fiscal matters alone is not sufficient to be an authentic Constitutional Conservative. The strong moral values set forth by our Founding Fathers must also be fully embraced.

Furthermore, would a God of Justice spared Sodom and Gomorrah if the sodomites had a policy of low taxes? Of course not!
