Let’s see...

States’ Rights?

vs.

Right of a Despotic intergovernmental body to tell a sovereign US State what to do with its criminals?

If the UN gets a legitimate say in this case, then the US has no sovereignty.

Good job, thanks
Not easy teaching this old dog anything, good job.
Glad KBH is going off to go play shuffleboard, just one of far too many RINO’s that needs to go.

Gov. Perry needs only to ask a single question: Regular or extra crispy?

“Rick will let them give him the needle. Cuz Perry is light on immigration and could have pushed through the sanctuary cities law if he wanted to. TSA pat down law too. Texas just had a special session and these issues were another Perry kabuki theatre. “

Perry still can push these. He can simply call a special session AGAIN. Let’s see what he does. If he calls the session, I may give him the benefit of the doubt. If not, then it’s PERFECTLY CLEAR that he’s an open-borders, pro-groping governor...and God help us all if he becomes president.

U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay is calling for Gov. Rick Perry to commute the sentence to life in prison for Humberto Leal Garcia. Garcia was convicted of raping and killing a 16-year-old girl in February 1998.

You would think a U.N. High Commissioner would check to see if the Governor had authority to commute the sentence before issuing a public call for such action. A simple review of the Texas constitution would show he does not have that kind of power. He could only do so if such action was recommended by the Board of Pardons and Paroles which is an entity independent of the Governor.

He can simply call a special session AGAIN.

He won;t. He has already met his goal which was putting it on the agenda. he gets credit for that. When it comes to the items "failing" he can point to "others".

Perry is a RINO who is only in it for the money. Don't be fooled by his words or his ghost written book. Look at his history. Look at his actions. Perry is more qualified to be president than Obama. That's a given. But he is not that much more qualified.

“Perry is more qualified to be president than Obama. That’s a given. But he is not that much more qualified. “

Agree, but he’s arguably more dangerous than Obama, as shown by how he makes puppets out of the Republicans in the state legislature. Imagine him doing this to the Republicans in Congress, and this country is finished.

At least with Obama, Republicans can actually oppose him.

Actually this is also Obama purposely trying to pick a fight with Perry. Perry is my No. 3 candidate behind DeMint and Palin. Rick, make some points with Freepers and conservatives by telling the punk president and the UN to go “F” itself
