Newsbusters ^ | July 02, 2011 | Noel Sheppard

Posted on 07/02/2011 7:01:29 PM PDT by DGHoodini

CNN's Fareed Zakaria made a bit of a Kinsley gaffe Friday.

On NPR's "Morning Edition," Zakaria said, "The people who watch Fox are not going to watch CNN...Our competitors should properly be The New York Times, the BBC, NPR"

CNN’s main competition is airport concourse floor polishers.

Still, it seems CNN has made some efforts to attract conservative viewers, like bringing Erick Erickson and Dana Loesch (is there a “rule” for her?) aboard as pundits.

My brother and her GF are the same. They;’re both effing libtards and they can’t stand Fox. Heck, I can’t stand Fox because they are liberal.

Agree. I also used to watch some of CNN's good old shows, like Crossfire (when they had Pat Buchanan or Robert Novak as the conservative), Evans & Novak, and Capitol Gang (always stacked 3 liberals to 2 conservatives, but the conservatives were usually fighters who could hold their own, like Buchanan, Novak, Kate O'Beirne, or John O'Sullivan). In their folly, of course, CNN got rid of these good shows, having acquired a weird milquetoast obsession with being bland, noncontroversial, and avoiding conflict.

They must spend a lot of time in the TSA lines at Airports. CNN counts those trapped in this Government Boodoggle as viewers.

Zakaria give me the creeps, the idea that he is giving
input to this administration freaks me out.

The campaign will be worse than you can imagine. This administration is SDS.

Good points. Fox needs to upgrade its foreign coverage.

CNN has some good stories despite its leftist bias.

BBC also has good worldwide coverage despite being anti-American and anti-semitic.

I watch Fox and CNN (gave up on MSNBC when I ran out of barf bags - too expensive to keep buying them).

Zakaria, as usual, is full of shit.

Yes, we should start demanding Fox News in airports. My gym has several TVs in front of the treadmills, only one for Fox.....waaaaay in the corner. Oh well it’s a start.

I haven’t watched CNN at all, not at all, since the Lebanon War when their coverage was so hysterically anti-Israel that I couldn’t stomach it or them anymore.

Frankly, though, I don’t watch TV news much anymore at all, I get most of my news from the net. I only watched Fox for Beck and with him gone, I don’t watch them at all now.

You don’t have competition.

You are totally dominated.
