I recently searched for historic fiscal data to find out which president rose the largest debt and found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_debt_by_U.S._presidential_terms (1945 - now). The Obama administration yet hasn’t ended so and the data for him ain’t complete. But i’m sure he’ll be the unquestioned king of debt. Some numbers are “astonishing”
- The only one since 1945 to decrease the absolute debt in dollars was Roosevelt.
- The last one to decrease the debt relative to the gdp was Bill Clinton
