The rule is, if you say it enough, it becomes true.
Here’s my first big question....if Tom and Sally had a kid together...WHY DIDN’T SALLY TELL THE WORLD?
She never mentioned it to anyone, not even her other children.
I read a book on this. The author made a compelling case that it was simply not true.
Jefferson was a very devout religious man. He had a wife for many years, there was no other evidence that he cheated in any way.
The biggest problem....Hemmings never said a word to anybody about her and Tom. Jeez louise, women love to talk this kind of thing.
The blacks, they want to use this to paint a founding father as a worthless philanderer who went around knocking up his hapless slave women.
And, since Tom’s not around to defend himself, saying it over and over it becomes the truth.
and don’t give me that story about a DNA test. Somewhere they got a DNA sample of Jefferson’s Uncle’s hairdressers’s third cousing and they found some kind of spurious DNA relationship between it and a descendent of the Hemmings son allegedly with Jefferson.
Which you, and The Wise I, would also have the same weird DNA relationship on the third cusp of the fifth polyp of the bottom half of a chromosone.
I know, Fishtalk. It cracked me up that Dyson’s favorite framer was Jefferson because of his “supposed” relationship with a black slave that he “supposedly” had a child with. What an idiot.
He prefers a man who would take advantage of black women using their position of power (being a slave owner) over any of the other framers of the Constitution.
Guess we know how Dyson feels about black women.....or “the people at the edges” .

Dyson and his ilk are commies and hate this country.
Jefferson was a Deist, that means he believed in God, but was not a Christian. Washington and even Franklin in his elder years were Christians.
You can’t talk in rational terms to folks like Dyson as they are so hard core social justice (that is different from “biblical justice”) that they just hate and really are bigots on the taxpayers’ dole/welfare from university payrolls.
I would caution you however to not take the stance that there was no baby from Hemmings and Jefferson...the fact that she didn’t tell anyone is silly. A freed slave speaking to whom? Who other than other slaves/freed slaves was she to tell? White people? Come on...there was definitly a limitation on what someone as a freed slave was going to tell to watch out from getting locked up, horse whipped, etc.
