The sentence is factual in its context, Paul not not set out to get captured and warn the British. If your kid were ask the purpose of Paul's ride on his term test what would you tell him the answer was.

If your kid were ask the purpose of Paul's ride...Palin wasn't asked "the purpose" of Paul's ride.

"The sentence is factual in its context, Paul not not set out to get captured and warn the British."
Of course he didn't. After being captured and asked at gun point for information, he told the British that there would be 500 Americans waiting for them as the result of his efforts. He was likely giving misinformation to cause them to pause. You just do not WARN the enemy in a time of war!!!! All of this spin about him "warning" the British is making an American hero look like a traitor!

how do you know what the question was? To even say if the answer was correct or not. To this day I have not heard the question that was asked of Palin when she gave her answer. Since she had just come from the Paul Revere house and just done a tour.
the question could have been what did you learn today?
Her answer was historically correct. historians have backed her up. So provide the question she was asked. Or stuff it.

And The Clintoon “did not have sex with......that woman....” either. Fact: Paul Revere warned the British. What does intention have to do with it? Nothing. Nothing at all.

Yes, Palin fumbled some wording about Paul Revere in an impromptu moment but she was basically correct. It caused me to research the history of the ride and to learn something. Any article that describes what she said in the way this one does is intellectually dishonest and not worth reading in my opinion.
