You said Great Britain is part of the UK. Great Britain is a state made up of England, Wales and Scotland. The UK is also a state made up of the 3 plus NI.
So you cant say Great Britain is part of the UK, as they are both designations pertaining to a state made up of sovereign nations, in one case 3, in another 4.
‘Great Britain is part of the UK’ dosent make sense.
