President Obama and Democrats are afraid to put a real plan on the table. This would make a nice Republican talking point if they'd ever decided to develop that strategy. Heck, the democrats wouldn't even develop a federal budget.

Here’s an idea. Let’s put someone like BOA or Chase in charge of our national debt. Then the government can call BOA and ask them if they can get their credit limit increased.

Happy Fourth of July to you Kas. Thanks so much for your posts. As to the subject at hand, the Dims will do one of two things: 1) The executive will ignore the debt limit and spend as they please. Congress can do nothing about this as the Dims in the Senate will never vote for conviction should the President be impeached. 2) The Dims will prevent the payment of interest on the national debt in the Senate and blame the Republicans for the default and any results so as to gain advantage in the next election or, just as likely, declare marshal law and suspend elections...permanently.
