The Taliban may have gotten their hands on some ammo, I saw one stockpile and some boxes. NOT proof of an unlimited supply of arms. I do not agree with the ROE in this war.

George Washington didn’t have enough soldiers, arms, or money, and he would be very proud of our military as it is today, July 4, 2011. Just saying.

You make your judgment on watching one of the clips I posted.

Nowhere did I say "unlimited supply of arms" - But I don't think you'd want to be under fire from those rockets, missiles, bullets, etc that WERE LEFT. Plenty there to kill our soldiers - which is exactly what the Taliban bragged they would use them for.

It was, in my estimation, more concerned about the Taliban than our troops - tying our soldiers hands behind them and giving the advantage of 'first shot', and more, to the Taliban - who laugh.

That first clip is of the Korengal Valley, aka "The Valley of Death." The firebase is RESTREPO. That isolated little perch atop a mountain, the most remote - deep into Taliban land, was literally pickaxed out of the mountain top. (My grandson was on those pickaxes by night, fighting by day. For 15 months. That tiny platoon took 20% of the fighting in Afghanistan at that time. (It was what kept the Taliban from freely scooting from Pakistan, through the Valley and on to Kabal, etc.)He was between deployments when the CIC made the decision to just GIVE IT to the Taliban. One GIANT slap in the face to the Sky Soldiers who lived and fought and held their dying brothers there. (Perhaps I know a bit more of what has gone down in the Kunar than your glimpse from one clip...each clip, btw, was about DIFFERENT caches of weapons. You might not think there was much - but you would if it was coming at YOU or a family member)

However, that Platoon now has it's place in history and no traitorous CIC can take that away from them - a CIC that couldn't even remember the name of one of the soldiers - the ONLY living recipient of the MOH since Viet Nam, that he, himself presented to the soldier in a banquet at the WH -

anyway, the award winning documentary, filmed by noted author Sebastian Junger ("Perfect Storm") and the late photojournalist, Tim Hetherington (one of the first killed in the illegal war in Libya - more blood on the CIC's hands) who embedded with the Platoon a total of one year and filmed the action as it went down. Just war, the way it is for our troops. No theme, no agenda, no Hollywood - just what it's like hour by hour for those who are boots on the ground.

And NO WHERE did I imply that I am not proud of our military. Quite the opposite. It's their POS CIC that I have the quarrel with. "Just saying."

For anyone interested in the documentary, "RESTREPO", it's available on DVD, Netflix and Nat Geo.

I’m still not convinced by the clips that the boxes of ammo under the board probably used as a bench were full. Sorry, just don’t.
