From the article:

Dave Silverman, president of American Atheists, said the pilots’ refusal stems from Americans’ “bigotry.”

I don't think it is bigotry -- it is just that it is against the beliefs of the pilots...

‘Dave Silverman, president of American Atheists, said the pilots’ refusal stems from Americans’ “bigotry.” “This is a clear reminder of why we need to keep fighting because the bigotry against us is so thick that a lot of the pilots are afraid to fly our banners,” he said, according to CNN.’

Dave, you arrogant jackass; you are confusing the concept of ‘fear’ with the reality of ‘disgust’. May God have mercy on your soul

If I were a nonbelieving pilot, I probably would not want to take chances by flying around a banner attacking God.

So they got 17 people to do it. What are they bitching about? People can’t have minds of their own, they’re not allowed to have their own beliefs? Why does everyone have to conform to their belief system or they aren’t happy? These atheist bigots make me sick!

Why not, I don’t know, purchase some aircraft for the purpose of spreading their message? Why go through all the trouble of forcing those who don’t believe their message to promote it?

I listened to a debate between James White and Dave Silverman (Hitchens was supposed to be the atheist) about whether the New Testament was “evil” (as if atheists can call anything evil). Dave Silverman self-imploded. It was actually kind of funny to listen to.

How could I have missed this news story?

Oh, it was on CNN....never mind.

These people are Statists - they believe that a MINUSCULE minority of people - Atheists - have the right to impose THEIR worldview on the MAJORITY of believers.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCIZE THEREOF (my caps, underscore and bold).”

These atheists and some courts have CONSISTENTLY ignored the last part of that clause, and, in effect, made an effort to create the establishment of a religion - Atheism.

Tolerance only for atheists.

Atheists don't tolerate the rest of the world not revolving around them.

It is ok for them to insult others - darwin forbid there should be push back.

Besides, pilots are loath to gamble.

What if?

Bravo to the 62 pilots who didn’t let politcally correct pressure force them to do something they thought was morally wrong.

Since our Rights come from God....how can anyone fly such banners....it is like saying we have no inalienable rights which is against the Constitution and the Principles of our legal system.

Actually, the US would be within Constitutional rights to ban atheists from all aspects of Constitutional government since they don’t acknowledge that we have God-given rights.

That is how the Founders thought and Atheists were marginalized and not allowed to testify in court. We should get back to the Founding principles of this country which includes Absolute Truth and God. Everyone who doesn’t acknowledge that are free to leave and join those atheist or pagan countries that have been so inferior and created the annihilation of 100’s of millions of human beings, plus abortion “rights” and “euthanasia” and homosexual “rights” where there is no sexual morality...since they don’t believe man is anything more that a “trousered ape”.

I wonder if Dave Silverman would claim fear of bigotry as a reason he doesn’t sport a Pro-Life bumper sticker on his Prius?
