An alternate juror in the Casey Anthony trials has said that he believes that Anthony was a good mother and that two-year-old Caylee’s death was just a horrific accident.
The sensational acquittal of Casey Anthony sparked outrage across the U.S. as angry spectators compared the trial’s outcome to the infamous verdict in the OJ Simpson case.
But Russell Huekler, one of five alternate jurors who were present for all the testimony and were sequestered with the 12 other jurors, said he would have given the same verdict and is stunned by the public anger.

I should have known weeks ago this would happen with the jury. I’m on a private email list to discuss a hobby of mine and one of the men on the list kept insisting that Casey was a Wonderful Mother because he had been to a web site featuring dozens of pictures of her and Caylee and “you could just see the love she had for the child in her eyes.”
Nothing I could say could dissuade this man. I gave him examples with links to sources. He says he checked them out but I have doubts about that. He always came back with the same comment...those pictures showed what a Wonderful Mother Casey Anthony was and from that he just “knew she was innocent.”
The man is college educated and has his own business in NYC. My own theory is that men WANT to see Casey as some sort of Madonna/Whore. Nancy Grace had Jesse Grund on last night and he still says the Casey he was engaged to was a sweet and wonderful young woman and mother. She has him fooled and he doesn’t want to let go of the role she was playing then but Casey has always been exactly who she was on June 16, 2008 and who she is today. People don’t make dramatic changes to their personality as a rule.

I’m not sure there was enough there to convict beyond a reasonable doubt.
But there is NO DOUBT in my mind that she knows way more than she’s telling, and knows or actively participated in this somehow.
If I were a juror, I’d have a very hard time ignoring the duct tape stuff and the fact that it took her 30 days to report it.
Cripes, these days, if a kid is 5 minutes late coming back from the neighbor kids place, we have Amber Alerts, Breaking news announcements on the TV and satellite beacons going off!
Thirty days missing and she doesn’t say anything? That don’t add up! Not even close!
You’ve got to understand where this woman is coming from. She didn’t get to see the news reports, didn’t hear Jane and Nancy lay out the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. So she didn’t have the “advantage” all the rest of us had in coming to this decision. It is not her fault that she was sequestered and couldn’t watch CNN ... so if she’s come to a different conclusion than most of the rest of the world, that is the reason. (/s)

Look. You can not appeal a not guilty verdict. I am sorry but that is the law. You may not like it and it may offend you but why attack me for the truth. It is an asinine statement in realityworld. You may still be in Fantasyland. Snap out of it. Due to the Constitution you can only be tried one time for any charged crime. It has been that way for hundreds of years. Well it happened because the little girl was in the company of a fantastic mother. I raised 3 of them, I was never this fantastic. /sarc
