America is resilient, it will survive.
This is often said of children too, particularly those who go from one dysfunctional home situation to another: "They're resilient, they'll survive." And most of them do, sort of, but most often as shells of the human beings God created them to become. Perhaps the country will survive intact as well, but most likely only as a backwater.
