The University of South Florida is offering transgender students the opportunity to live alone or with a friend of a different gender in campus housing.
Beginning Thursday, students can identify themselves as male, female or transitioning on their housing applications. Anyone who checks transitioning can live alone, with a friend or with a randomly assigned roommate. A student's choice of transitioning won't be disclosed to any randomly selected roommate without permission.
Then, in the spring, the Tampa school will begin a pilot program with several "gender-neutral" dorm rooms for any student who wants to live with another student of a different gender. Rooming with romantic partners will be discouraged.

Let’s assure that those unsure of their sex get adequate housing...so that they can drink and not study in peace.

A 'transgender' student rooming with a 'friend' is perfectly FINE, but a normal hetereosexual couple rooming together is to be 'discouraged'.
Is there some sort of handbook or guide available for us normal folks so we can know which activities are considered 'progressive' and which ones are not?
University of South Florida once had a President named Betty Boop, er - make that Betty Castor. When President Boop, oops, Castor, was informed by the FBI regarding the WISE bunch (WISE = World Islamic Studies Institute) being terrorists, they were dismissed.
One day, a WISE leader showed up in the Mideast an the leader of a prominent Palisimian terrorist group.
Now, the same ‘institute of higher learning’ has decided to foist the gender perverting student onto unsuspecting roommates AND has deemed it acceptable not to give either the roommate or the parents of the roommate any prior notice.
University of South Florida is steadfastly holding to its academic traditions - “Agenda Uber Alles”!
Now that a conservative is in the Governor’s office, and that both the Florida House and Senate are conservative, perhaps the academic stable which the University of South Florida has become may finally be mucked out.

The biggest irony to the transgender issue is that the sex-change surgery and hormone therapies were the means by which they used to punish homoseuxality, yet they’re part of the same movement. Odd.
