It should have never been a major national news story in the first place. It happens all over the country with little notice till the media finds one to sensationalize.
Just one county south of me we still have the father who claimed to have killed his 3 sons last thanksgiving sitting in jail with no evidence of anything other than the fact that the boys haven’t been seen since. Nothing for the media to latch on to so they let it slide down the memory hole.
Sorry, male child victims are not sexy. Neither are black victims because they usually have black perps and creating a hate mob scene around a black perp would be racis. It’s complicated for the mob leaders.
