Some judge will come and throw that out any way.
Oh, you mean like those same-sex marriage initiatives that the people of California voted down only to be overturned by the state courts how many times? The list can go on; the point is that in California, “defeated at the polls” means jacksquat... =.=
Yes, by all means. Let's "stop the madness."
Good. The illegals will go to California to commit their crimes and stay the hell out of Arizona and Texas.
California has a death penalty? Who knew?
When was the last time they used it, and how many are in line?

The sort of defeat the State needs is the sort where cost is counted in lives and bloodshed.
A new push is underway to spit in the eyes of grieving families who have had members murdered by ruthless criminals who know they’re safe and care nothing for the lives of others.
Slightly different wording...
When was the last time they used it, and how many are in line?
California has done 13 executions since 1976:

As of 2010, California had almost 700 convicts on death row.
That sound you are hearing is the sound of criminals leaving Texas and heading for CA...
the only thing wrong with the death penalty is they don’t do it quick enough!
One appeal within 6 months and execute them!
Texas executed more people in the last nine months of last year than CA has since 76. We have nine more scheduled to go so far this year. We have less than half the number waiting that CA does. Our murder rate is also down.
Their average wait time is only about ten years - strange, if you fast-track their appeals and get them done fast, they’re actually cheaper to execute than imprison for life. Instead of having long, long appeals that last 30-40 years, like CA.
You have the right to a speedy trial. Otta work for executions as well.
Clarence Ray Allen was executed on January 17, 2006, in California's most recent execution. The jury found that Allen had previously been convicted of murder, had committed multiple murder, and had murdered witnesses in retaliation for their prior testimony and to prevent future testimony, orchestrating violent robberies, with ten violent crimes and six prior felony convictions. The jury returned a unanimous verdict of death, and the court sentenced Allen on November 22, 1980 (more than 25 years before the actual execution). As a side note, While in prison, Allen claimed to be deaf, blind and severely disabled, requiring a wheelchair for mobility, but during his execution, he was able to walk from his wheelchair to the death podium unassisted. In addition, he appeared to be looking straight at his family prior to receiving the first dose of drugs during his lethal injection procedure. Allen's lawyers had argued that executing a disabled man constituted "cruel and unusual punishment" and that "he presents absolutely no danger at this point, as incapacitated as he is." His lies remind me of Libyan terrorist Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi, who was just released thanks to Obama's softness, except that Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't fall for it the way that today's liberals chose to believe the Pan Am flight 103 bomber's lies.
That is why I am locked and loaded.
Put those 700 on the Death Row on a ship to Gaza and fill the ship with arms, then tell the Israeli’s they are on the way to break the blockade.
In the early 90’s a majority of Californians voted to cut off public assistance to illegal aliens. But some judge threw it out.
The penalty is supported by over 60% in CA.
