Why is that? What sort of moral code do police follow that makes it ok to shoot people in their beds at 3AM, who are suspected of having a baggie of white powder, but not ok to shoot people who have murdered seven, including two children, and are presently holding two others hostage?

Dan, I’m as down on SWAT raids gone bad as anyone. But I just got done listening to about an hour and a half’s worth of very professional, very dangerous police work on the scanner. I’m talking you could hear the hushed voices of the officers outside the bedroom in the hallway, talking to their command post incident commander. And I have to tell you, this isn’t the time to be talking smack about police. These guys clank when they walk. Officers 1202 and 1204 in particular.
