Wonderful post, grey!

"I have also created the ravager to destroy; no weapon that is fashioned against you shall propser, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, says the LORD."

"Confute" -- new word for me. It means "to prove conclusively that somebody is wrong or that something is false, invalid, or faulty."

I pray for Palin, and even more, I pray that Americans embrace a restoration of priority committment to, and respect for, Judeo-Christian values, the ones that ALONE created Western Civilization and ultimately, the best nation in the world.

Except that campaigns have changed a lot since 1980.

Expect 2012 to be the same.

I don't think you are getting it, Palin DOES NOT play by the "Party Elite's" play book. You can throw all your analysis out the window. She and her campaign WILL NOT be worried about the "other guy"; they will be focused on getting their message out past the media and directly to the citizen. Its the entire field that will be bending their campaigns to fight Palin's strategy and they will surely lose as that is uncharted territory for many, many pol's.

Couple that with the Palin family being "out there" in the public eye and mercilessly attacked. There is hardly anything left for the media to attack with other than trite "she's stupid; just look at her" type commentary from the "i'm relevant!!" types at the alphabet soup networks.

Nah, her campaign began a long time ago; now it is her choosing when to enter and at her will. The others will be playing catch up within two weeks of her announcement and when they do try to fire one across her bow; I see a premeditated nuke coming back at them.

However, I have zero faith in the American electorate

Understand your point. However, as in all elections, if the conservative base turns out in record numbers, Sarah wins.

Not sure it’s hair; I think it’s the way she’s holding her hands. There’s a couple of pics I found that show her hands are not baby-smooth; she’s middle-aged after all, and that’s the way our hands tend to look. ;) http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/160878/20110610/sarah-palin-movie-documentary-amc-one-nation-pictures-paul-revere-thatcher.htm Note particularly the one by the vehicle, wearing the NH sweatshirt.

Also, I’ve seen things on neither wrist, her right wrist, her left wrist, and both wrists.

Sarah has the rare honor of being able to truly save her country. We will NOT survive as the UNITED states of America if Ubama gets 4 more years, we all know it, its the 1850's all over again, the country is simply too different and too balkanized to survive 4 more years of racial instigation (see flash mobs) or outright treason (see project gun walker) so I will say it again and again

RUN SARAH,RUN!!! Your country needs you!!! May HaShem forgive us if we reject her conservatism, then we will have to tell our grandchildren what the second war between the states was like.

It didn't work out well at all, and it might not work out again. Of the candidates in the race, I think Bachmann is the one who can challenge him. I think Perry might get in (but who knows) and challenge him. And Palin might get in (but again, who know) to challenge him. Barring Palin or Perry not getting in, I think it's Romney's to lose at this point (it's just July after all), because no one is as dynamic as Huckabee (Bachmann might be getting there - her name id is rising, as well as her favourables and intensity) or has the following of McCain in New Hampshire.

Are you claiming that Palin was bested by BITE ME Biden, during the VEEP debates? If so, you must be living in some alternate universe.

Gaffe a day Bachmann, who has NO executive experience and the thinnest of thin resumes in office, both state and Federal? That's who you want Plain to defer to?

Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Um, she’s a beautiful mature woman. I think the B&W photo makes her look a bit hard.

I hope the Marxists and their useful idiots think it’s unflattering of her since they seem to prefer unattractive women.

Take a close look at it. It almost looks like a man’s face.

That was my first impression too. It looks like they strengthen her jaw line.

That’s what happened in 2010 and it will happen again, in 2012!

Right, but if she jumps into the race, it’s an established network which can be coordinated with the campaign (or more accurately, will become part of the campaign organization). She won’t have to set it up after she runs; it’s already in place. That’s a huge leg up in Iowa.

Thanks, but you misquoted the verse.

"...no weapon that is fashioned against you shall propser, and you shall confute refudiate every tongue that rises against you in judgment." -- Palin 20:12

Cheers!

Almost 170 replies in a little over an hour says, if nothing else ... Sarah is on all our minds.

And the greater majority of those minds are already practicing, "Madam President"

Her chin was enlarged slightly, her nose was as well, and her eye color was darkened. The fine folks at Newsweek seem to think making her face look less feminine and more ethnic serves their purpose.

But then, you have a very pronounced bust and a waistline that most women would give their eyeteeth for, especially in their forties. Well-used grey sweatsuit with neckline unzipped. Sexualized.

Her mop of unruly hair doesn't really look real for some reason, and the color is very dark, unnaturally so given harsh lighting.

You could sit and try to read the tea leaves on this for days and come away with differing conclusions. What is clear is that her femininity and beauty was viewed as a problem, whereas her sexuality was not. The image is sexualized, even overt, so one has to assume that we flyover bumpkins, repressed Puritans that we are, are supposed to be put off by that. She was ethnicized (is that a word, lol?) so one has to again assume that we flyover bumpkins, whitebread xenophobe nativists that we are, are supposed to be put off by that.

Sound about right, lol? Trouble is, they're wrong. She looks hardened, but not hard. She looks ready for the fight of her life, truthfully. We all know she's quite capable of being a very stunning woman, regardless of her age and being a mother of five and having been under a merciless onslaught of daily two minute hates for three years now.

She's ready and the photo shows that reality. Too bad, Newsweek, you blew it again. The object of your machinations doesn't read your flimsy $1 mag, and those few who still do will find the image flattering and more in keeping with their image of a successful, serious female.

I take that back it is a color photo of her. I think the camera angle allows her strong chin to make an impact.

I like that shot of her on the carrier. She is a very serious, determined and intelligent person.

I am a Plainista and I agree with you!

The picture makes her look strong, less of a beauty and in this case, that really isn't a bad thing.........even though I'm sure that that wasn't the original intent.

Agreed. But it is not an indication of her intent to run - only the intensity of others for their desire for her to run.

Palin, Palin, Palin, fool!

Everyone else in the repub race is running to be Sarahs veep. Thats why “Perry’s timeline and Bachmanns rise” dont affect Sarahs timing.
And yes, campaigns have changed a lot since 1980. And Sarah is changing them again for 2012. Get used to it.

“She’s been saying this for a while. If she really believed it, I think she would in the race by now. The longer she waits the harder it is going to be to staff up in Iowa, New Hampshire, S. Carolina, etc. with people who know the state and have run campaigns before.”

You are absolutely right, to get her ground game up to snuff and running, why it might even take her all of two days, instead of one. s/
