LED's are the future, and they have the added benefit of not being filled with mercury.

I heard about the mercury in a conversation with a nice elderly gent I ran into the other day.

I have heard about the LEDs and will definitely go with them when they arrive. Any idea on the timeline?

I see that Lowes has them. Forty dollars a pop though. I would imagine that they would last almost forever due to the efficiency. The heat thing.

You can get them right now.

BJ's Wholesale Club has them. 40w max and their $20 each. No thanks. I'll keep buying cases of the incandescents.
