Thank you for posting that..I agree.. he did this before and they fell for it early on. Uses this for his advantage..struts his stuff...and makes the rep.s look foolish to say the least.

I’m so disgusted with the Repubs.they have not figured out how to manever around Obamas plays, even when he’s so obvious, or they simply are putting on a show and have no intentions of carrying thru what they say.

PDATE: Grover Norquist clarified his position on McConnell’s proposal Tuesday night, insisting that he did not, in fact, endorse the plan. Norquist maintains that he supports forcing the president to put a plan in writing, but does not endorse “any particular debt limit contingency plan.”

Exactly.

Republicans gave away all of their leverage during the lame duck session of the 111th Congress.

They were slow to get started in the 112th Congress.

And now they're getting played again by allowing the Senate to be marginalized, and making everything be between the House and Obama.

McConnell should stay out of it until the Senate goes on record with a budget, otherwise, all he's doing is mucking up the works by being a powerless voice who can nothing but undermine his side's position.
