They are trying to be too clever by half. The public will consider Obama the winner and the Reps the loser. Essentially, Obama gets to have a clean raise of the debt ceiling, their objective all along. And the Reps look weaker and without principles. And why now offer such a deal?
If we’re playing a game, it’s a brilliant move. If we’re truly concerned about the country and the debt we’re handing off to our grandchildren, we’re LOSERS.
