A new book by New York Times reporter Janny Scott sheds new light on the life of Barack Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, including her final years. Scott found while assembling information for “A Singular Woman: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mother,” that Dunham in fact did have health coverage for her ovarian cancer, based off Dunham’s own past correspondence. Washington Examiner’s Byron York:
“Dunham decided to stay in Jakarta, where she underwent an appendectomy. But the pain did not go away, and Dunham feared, correctly, that she was terribly ill. In January 1995 she left Indonesia to go home to Honolulu, where she was diagnosed with advanced uterine and ovarian cancer. She began a regime of surgery and chemotherapy.
That is the time during which Obama says his mother battled insurance companies to cover her illness. But Scott, who had access to Dunham’s correspondence from the time, reveals that Dunham unquestionably had health coverage. ‘Ann’s compensation for her job in Jakarta had included health insurance, which covered most of the costs of her medical treatment,

I remember reading he never even visited his sainted mother when she returned to the US with cancer, and even though called by his half sister because Mom was dying and in pain, never went to Hawaii until after she was dead

1. Who paid for that hospital bill in Aug.4, 1961?
2. We know President Obama's father was a very poor Kenyan immigrant student.
3. President Obama's mother was not working.
4. So, who paid the hospital bill?
5. KAPIOLANI HOSPITAL, THE 800 LB. GORILLA IN THE ROOM: It has been almost 3 months since President Obama released his Hawaii long form birth certificate to the public with great fanfare at a White House press conference on April 27, 2011, but yet, not a single word from KAPIOLANI officials confirming that indeed President Obama was born there on Aug. 4, 1961 like it says on President Obama's long form birth certificate.
6. OBAMA'S "OCTOBER" SURPRISE? Is President Obama waiting for just the right moment to release his Kapiolani Hospital records in order to AMBUSH the birther movement in order to win re-election in Nov. 2012? Is President Obama waiting to spring his "October Surprise" like he AMBUSHED birthers with his recent "October Surprise" when he suddenly released his long form birth certificate on April 27, 2011 to great fanfare?
7. I say this: If President Obama waits too long for his "OCTOBER SURPRISE", he will still lose a lot of VOTES on election day Nov. 2012, because a lot of VOTERS will be so angry that President Obama waited so long to release his Kapiolani records that they will VOTE against Obama in Nov. 2012.
8. Why won't President Obama give Kapiolani officials permission to allow reporters to examine his birth records of Aug. 4, 1961? What is President Obama hiding?
9. Could President Obama be hiding the fact that no one paid for his mother's Kapiolani hospital stay because she was never in the hospital on Aug. 4, 1961 as President Obama claims?
10. Again, who paid for President Obama's mother's stay at Kapiolani hospital on Aug. 4, 1961, if she was ever there?
11. Was it an insurance company, even though Obama's father could barely make ends meet, and President Obama's mother was not working during her pregnancy?
12. Did President Obama's grandparents somehow pay for it, that is, was President Obama's mother on their health policy, even though she was supposedly married at the time? Enquiring minds want to know.
