I think all the pledges are dumb and no one should sign them.

This pledge is from the same group that the left sandblasted Bachman and Santorum for signing last week. At that time, it stated blacks are less likely to have two parents than slave children. Insanity.

I wouldn't sign anyone's pledge either.

No we are going to get hung up on his very very bad record. This just highlights it. It isn’t like he hasn’t signed many pledges. He signed one for Grover Norquist not long ago. These pledges are very straightforward. He is the enemy because he doesn’t have the conservative cause in his core not fiscally or socially.

Though she looks a tad overdressed, I’d be more likely to vote for any randomly selected Walmart shopper than most anything we have in DC currently.

This group has a long history of creating one blunder after the other. I wouldn't sign any group's pledge. This is getting ridiculous and these worthless pledges have far more to do with the group trying to get their names before the public than doing anything useful.

I know all the players in this and some of them very well. Any candidate who signs this pledge has a strike against them as far as I'm concerned. It's pandering and I'm sick of phony pandering.

You got it. A friend and I were going to start a group that asks all these candidates to sign a pledge they will sign no more pledges. It’s a waste of time and useless.

so, you are against defining what the candidate believes in BEFORE he is elected??
I guess you must be ecstatic with Scott Brown then!

I agree.

Romney is a p.o.s., his record proves that

No, I’m saying the pledge-signing and all the will-he-won’t-he pantomime is unnecessary and even juvenile no matter who the candidate is.

I realize that such pledges are an attempt to get recalcitrant candidates to commit to a position but even if the pledge is ‘Why Mom, Baseball & Apple Pie Are Good Things’ it proves nothing and achieves nothing.

I have no love for Romney nor his record and I also scorn politicians attempting to see and support all sides of an issue a la Lt Keefer of the USS Caine but one pledge from one interest group begets another. Positions and platforms should be clearly stated and frankly any candidate worth voting for will have the courage to say so without third parties forcing him/her to run their little gauntlet.

I’d wager $100 Palin wouldn’t sign it either.

Can't blame him for not signing that "pledge."

It's the one that blew up in Bachmann's face because it suggested slavery was better for blacks than being free.
