What shutdown? At most the inability to borrow will force a prioritization of spending, with the sections which Obama hates the most (like old people on Social Security) being pushed to the bottom.

Military service members continue to work, but will not be paid until the government reopens. Military retirees and annuitants continue to receive payments. Only DoD civilians performing essential activities continue to work. This is a travesty.. these are the only ones who should get paid. Definitely before Congress and the Patient Office and the rest of those lazy $#^&*%#@
