The Friends That Rick Perry Keeps [retread troll zot]
Science Blogs ^ | 7/13/11 | Ed Brayton

Posted on 07/14/2011 8:27:00 AM PDT by Thinkitude

Right Wing Watch has done an excellent job of going through all of the various co-sponsors and endorses of Rick Perry's prayer rally next month in Houston and pointing out all the crazy things they've said. A lot of them are wingnuts that I'm familiar with saying the same old stupid things, but the example of C. Peter Wagner caught my eye. This is an unusually creative bit of wingnuttia that is rather amusing to read.

Wagner blames the earthquake in Japan on that country being "pagan" but he has a particularly fascinating explanation for how this happened. The Japanese emperor, you see, had sex with a demon.

There is a spirit called a Harlot, a principality, who dominates nations, who dominates territories, who dominates people groups very, very clearly to such an extent that she has fornication with kings. And I can give you an example of how she does this: Japan, as a nation, is one of the nation's of the world which has consciously, openly invited national demonization.

The Sun Goddess visits him in person and has sexual intercourse with the Emperor. It's a very, very powerful thing. So the Emperor becomes one flesh with the Sun Goddess and that's an invitation for the Sun Goddess to continue to demonize the whole nation.

Since the night that the present emperor slept with the Sun Goddess, the stock market in Japan has gone down. It's never come up since.

I'm guessing that Wagner must have sex with a demon called Stupid.

And then there's the one who thinks Oprah is the precursor to the Antichrist. And the one who thinks God is punishing African-Americans for their support of gay rights.

Well, it makes more sense than man-made global warming.

To me, there’s been all too much playing up of Perry’s feud with the Bushes for it to be believable.

Wagner's groups headquarters was housed in the church of Ted Haggard. His spiritual views and practices are really akin to a form of witchcraft. He is anti-Catholic to his bones. If Rick Perry hangs with C Peter Wagner he won't get my vote.

Didn’t President Reagan once use the phrase “They can support me, it does not mean I support them.” (I believe he was referring to the John Birch society).

These people are a lot less dangerous than the clowns the President has installed in his Administration:

Did the President, as Dr. Marable suggested, govern from a centrist-left position? No. With substantial majorities in both the House and Senate for the first two years, the President was able to push his coalition's agenda even if it went against the will of the majority of Americans. But why? Why didn't President Obama take a page out of Bill Clinton's playbook and find common ground?

The answer can be found in the same article, where Dr. Marable writes: "What makes Obama different is that he has also been a community organizer. He has read left literature, including my works, and he understands what socialism is. A lot of the people working with him are, indeed, socialists with backgrounds in the Communist Party or as independent Marxists. There are a lot of people like that in Chicago who have worked with him for years. But to differentiate, this new generation of elected black officials are unlike the older group who emerged in the 1970s and 1980s whose constituencies were entirely black."

Ironically, when Conservative pundits made similar allegations, they were vilified for doing so. There is ample evidence that, indeed, Dr. Marable was correct in his assertion, as he was intimately connected with the Progressive-Socialist-Marxist movement in Chicago and well acquainted with the key players.

You could be right. This trick - making a person responsible for those who back them - is an old liberal standby. That means this piece was written by a liberal and posted either by a person with no clue or a liberal... Anyway now that we’re taken a stand I doubt it’ll get bumped much...

humblegunner, I'm surprised you jumped in so quickly - this is a zotable post - you should know that.
