I hope this isn't an announcement of an agreement based upon the MCConnell/Reid plan which sounds like giving Obama the authority to raise the debt now in exchange for a list of planned cuts over time and wherever he wants them. The various votes on the plan reductions, possible veto and 2/3 requirement for veto override also sounds like ways to cloak that Obama has the ultimate authority.

There's been so much outcry against this I doubt they'll go there. If they do we'll be done sooner than later. Nobody should be giving a Pres. that power....and can they? No matter, they've already surpassed all constitutional authority..the constitution cannot stand unless the people use it....so far it's just words on paper...the power of it comes from use...way past time for our congreemen to use it.
